City Partners with Pikes Peak Library District to Provide Grant Workshops

Colorado Springs, CO - The City of Colorado Springs Community Development Division is pleased to offer Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) grant writing training at three workshops this fall. The Pikes Peak Library District and the El Pomar Nonprofit Resource Center are co-hosting and providing nonprofits and faith-based organizations in the community with resources to improve skills in developing project proposals and successfully planning, writing, and attaining grant funding.

The first two workshops target first-time applicants of the City of Colorado Springs’ CDBG and ESG programs.

The final workshop targets applicants of the 2019 City of Colorado Springs’ CDBG Public Services and ESG programs. These programs fund services for low- to moderate-income communities and people experiencing homelessness, respectively. Attendance is strongly encouraged at this workshop to review the Community Development Division’s new electronic submittal format, 2019 funding priorities and application questions.

The 2019 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for CDBG Public Services and ESG will be published on October 29, 2018.

Anyone requiring an auxiliary aid or interpreter service to participate in these workshops should make the request as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the event. For more information, please contact Megan Ellis at mellis@springsgov.com or 719-385-5345.
