Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
CPTED is the proper design and effective use of the physical environment, which may lead to a reduction of criminal activity and fear of crime. Crime prevention officers are certified experts in using and applying the principles of CPTED, and can provide assessments of residences, businesses, and facilities. This is a free service to the community and can be scheduled directly with your division's Crime Prevention Officer.
