Winter Travel Advisory:

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – In preparation for the winter storm anticipated to hit Colorado Springs today, the Colorado Springs Airport has initiated a snow alert that will continue until the storm has passed. All essential airport staff are reporting to the airport and will be running continuous shifts to ensure the airport continues to stay open and the runways safe and operational.

Ahead of the storm, Frontier Airlines and United have preemptively cancelled 13 flights. COS anticipates additional delays and cancellations throughout the day and passengers needing information regarding their flights should contact their airline directly.

With the forecast winter advisories in effect, travelers are advised to allow additional time and to check their flight status prior to heading to the airport.
