The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is proud to announce the airport’s Director of Aviation, Greg Phillips, was appointed to the Policy Review Council for the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), a professional organization representing public-use commercial and general aviation airports. This council serves to involve key airport leaders in the development of legislative and regulatory positions, as well as association policy issues. The Policy Review Council for AAAE is comprised of airport leaders who play a vital role in providing insights on specific issues facing airports today, developing and implementing policy, and collaborating with the AAAE team to introduce new member initiatives.
“The aviation industry's legislative and regulatory issues are subject to consistent change and it’s an honor to be part of a group dedicated to championing the industry's best interests and amplifying Colorado Springs' influence at a national higher level,” said Phillips.
Phillips has served as the Director of Aviation at COS since January 2017. He previously held positions as the President of the Northwest Chapter of AAAE and as a member of the AAAE National Board of Directors. In 2020, the Northwest Chapter of AAAE named Phillips the Airport Executive of the Year.
AAAE boasts a membership of over 10,000 individuals and represents approximately 966 airports, along with hundreds of companies and organizations that support the airport industry.
