The City Council is seeking voting members and alternate positions on the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission is a 9-member board appointed by the City Council. It reviews land development applications, including annexations, zoning changes, conditional use permits, master plans, among others. The Planning Commission also works on and recommends long-range plans, such as the city’s comprehensive plan, community plans, and land development code, to the City Council.

The Planning Commission holds two regular meetings per month: the first Thursday of the month is an informal meeting, and the second Wednesday of the month is the formal meeting during which it conducts a public hearing and votes on agenda items. Both meetings start at 9 a.m.
