Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade presented an Inspirational Leader Spirit of the Springs Award to Dee Smith at the Juneteenth Celebration Friday for his dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of black youth through his non-profit organization, OneBody ENT.

“Dee Smith’s work with OneBody ENT is a shining example of how one individual can make a profound impact on a community,” said Mayor Yemi. “Through his passion and commitment to taking lessons from the past to enhance the future, Dee has empowered countless residents and provided them with the support and resources they need to succeed. I’m pleased to recognize him with a Spirit of the Springs Award for his dedication to youth development, the K Land neighborhood, and the greater Colorado Springs community.”

Through various initiatives such as community outreach, education, mentorship, violence interruption, performing arts, entertainment and social gatherings, OneBody ENT offers positive outlets for individuals to engage in wholesome activities and surround themselves with like-minded peers to create a brighter future.
