The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department will have its first Downtown Historic Parks Master Plan Public Meeting on Tuesday January 28th from 6-8 pm at the Historic City Auditorium located at 221 East Kiowa Street (and Weber Street). The meeting will provide the project background; outreach and survey findings to date; present and gain support for park design principles and goals; present and obtain from the public, feedback on initial alternative concepts which will inform the draft master planA plan for the development of a portion of the city that contains proposed land uses, a generalized transportation system, and the relationship of the area included in the plan to surrounding property. design and recommended improvements for each park. A new public survey will be launched and will be open for approximately two weeks starting on Wednesday, January 29 through mid-February. We are looking for a great public turn out at this meeting, and another highly successful public response on the new survey!!
