The City of Colorado Springs’ Lodgers and Automobile Rental Tax (LART) fund is administered by City Council, with the guidance of the LART Citizen’s Advisory Committee. The purpose of LART funding is to provide funds for marketing and other qualified expenses to support special events that attract visitors to the City and to the Pikes Peak Region, provide economic and cultural benefit, enhance the quality of life in the City, engage the community and encourage tourist activity.
The Lodgers and Automobile Rental Tax (LART) Citizens’ Advisory Committee is accepting funding applications for events and projects in 2021. Applications are due no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, February 26th.
Application workshops for applicants will be held virtually on Thursday, February 11th at 2 p.m. and Wednesday, February 17th at 5:30 p.m. Please email Michael.Montgomery@ColoradoSprings.gov to RSVP.
Park Special Event Fee Reduction Policy
Requests for a fee waiver or reduction must be made in writing using the Park Special Event Fee Waiver Application and delivered, along with a letter of request on organization letterhead, a promotions/marketing plan summary, a line-item budget for the event, and verification of non-profit status.
