Southbound Nevada Avenue will temporarily close between Pikes Peak Avenue and Colorado Avenue starting August 1 for up to two weeks. The sidewalk will also be closed to pedestrians. The closure is due to utility work for the AdAmAn Alley project.

The City of Colorado Springs announced this week that Kranj, Slovenia will become its newest sister city. Kranj will join Fujiyoshida, Japan; Kaohsiung, Taiwan; Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan; Nuevo Casas Gandes, Mexico; Canterbury-Bankstown, Australia; and Ancient Olympia Greece.

The Pikes Peak PrideFest takes place in Colorado Springs on Saturday and Sunday, July 23 and 24. The parade will take place at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Road closures will be implemented for the festival beginning Friday, July 22.
